The 12th
Ayrshire (Kingcase) Scout Group is a large Group based in
Prestwick, in the scout Area of Ayrshire.
We are a large
group, with over 70 young people (Beavers, Cubs and Scouts)
and over 10 leaders.
The 12th Ayrshire
Scout Group ("12th") was founded by Revered Patterson of
Kingcase Parish Church
in 1948. We were registered with headquarters as a boy scout
troop soon after. In 1983, we became one of the first Scout
Groups in Britain to offer Beaver Scouting - for young boys
aged 6 to 8. A few years later, Beavers became recognised as
an official section of the Scout Association.
The Group is run by a dedicated team of leaders who are
supported by our Group Scout Leader.

The
administration of the Group is handled by the Group Executive
Committee, which is made up of all the leaders and parents of
the young people in our Group. The executive committee manages
the fundraising efforts of the Group and ensures that the
Group continues to run smoothly. The committee desperately
needs more parent support, so if you can give up a few hours a
month, please do get in touch with us!
We have put together some short pages on the work we do, the
history of the Group and those who make sure everything else
goes so well (the leaders of course!).
You can find out more about the 12th by clicking on any of the
further information links at the left of the page.
